My work comes down to one thing: making sure the women who are ready are also the women who get named, backed and put forward.

Business development is the day job. What sits under it has not changed in thirty years: who advises women, who advocates for them, and what they do with the opportunity once it arrives.

Empowered Women grew out of that work. It collects the stories of women who lead with purpose, lift others as they go, and leave something changed behind them.

The why

Why this work matters to me

I want to help create an ecosystem and community for women: a place where women can learn from others, grow, gain confidence, and develop strategies together. Esther Findlay

Careers are rarely changed by advice alone. They are changed by the person who says a name in a room you are not in, by the colleague who tells you what the job actually pays, by the mentor who asks the question you have been avoiding.

That is what this site is for. Bring a specific situation, and leave with a specific move.

Practical over motivational

Specific strategies for specific situations. Inspiration is welcome, but it is not the point.

Mentorship and sponsorship

Advice matters. Advocacy changes outcomes. Women need people who will do both.

Pay it forward

Every woman who rises is in a position to open the door behind her. That is the whole idea.
